Ika, a well-known and beloved acoustic-pop-Americana-melancholy band from Serbia are one of the first bands from this region to present this kind of music, which would later spawn a really popular wave of singer-songwriter music and projects in Serbia. This debut album was recorded in two days and afterwards mixed by a dear friend, composer and producer Nebojša Marković (Intruder), who displayed enormous patience and skillfully made it into a small intimate masterpiece.

Band Ika played solo concerts as well as with other bands. They opened for Ken Stringfellow in Belgrade. These days they are preparing their EP My bike is in the backyard, it was too cold for my horse, with a new double bass player Miloš Popović.

Ika are in no rush. Don’t enjoy media frenzy or TV interviews (radio is simply more relaxed). But they love playing live and adore their fans. Endlessly. They are charming and kind. Fun and melancholic. Pop and Americana.
