Yobo is definitely one of those bands that will be mentioned by critics on their yearly charts in years to come. This is by no means an exaggeration, but rather a fact. In their creativity as well as with their technical expertise, Yobo represents a band with a great musical craftsmanship. Their debut album Watch Out! New Breed is Coming, recorded in mid 2001 and released in February of this year (2002), from a production standpoint has approached world standards for hardcore releases revealing a strong potential of the material that in live shows shines in all its glory. One must note that no mature hardcore release of this sort could be found on this market with the exception of last years’ release by older colleagues – Eyesburn. Their sound is a mixture of ‘nu metal’ with hip-hop and hardcore overlays. Representatives of a similar sound overseas are: Papa Roach, Machine Head, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, P.O.D…
